Palo Santo also known as “holy wood” is often used in ceremonial practices for cleansing, protection, inspiring creativity, and for infusing blessing and love. They are cut from sacred trees, that are prayed over for hundreds of years before they are cut and used for medicinal and healing purposes.
Since Palo Santo is on the endangered list, our ethical Wild crafter in Peru is very careful! Only the fallen branches and twigs of the tree are harvested, which is regulated by the government of Peru to ensure that the trees do not become over harvested. The plants were not harmed and nothing was wasted.
